From time to time we all feel out of place and unwanted, like we are deficient or something is missing. So we achieve, give, or change ourselves to fit in. Some of us never leave this treadmill (called shame) and we experience the deep, corrosive, exhausting effects of it. While momentary shame can be helpful in signaling that something is threatening our wholeness, how do we get free from the trap of a life of shame?
