The most costly part of doing relationships is the requirement of continual, undeserved, complete forgiveness. While we may fear letting the other person off the hook and enabling hurtful or even abuse behavior, the other extreme is to be hard hearted and unmerciful. The real challenge of forgiveness is that it is a death to self that is required if you’re ever going to experience true life (connection) with another.
