Objective truth feels like an ancient relic from the modern age. Oprah reflects our culture’s values when she says, “telling your truth” is the most powerful weapon we have. But, how can a person function in a society with no truth consensus? How are we to figure out which principles we can meaningfully base our lives on? Jesus, even as he accepted and loved all the broken people he met (and their “truths), still pointed to a higher truth that is the basis of every person’s individual context.
