When hard things happen around us, it can seem like God himself is absent or indifferent to what’s going wrong in the world. Can we trust God when evil seems to be winning?
God doesn’t promise to stop every awful thing from happening. But He does promise that He is always in control, guiding the world—and our own lives—to a good outcome, regardless of the rough patches along the way. And the more we submit to His leadership, the more we will see his good outcomes in our own lives, in spite of the difficulties.
