It is tempting to give our allegiance to the things that promise us prosperity, protection, and security, like a family, a nation, or an economic system. And while we can straddle, being loyal to Christ AND _____, what happens when those values or callings come in conflict? Even though we might try to keep a foot in each camp, as group divisions widen, we must ultimately decide which one we will put our trust behind.
