St. Louis City, Purina Served with: Debbie Cotner, Sue VanRees
My friend, Debbie Cotner, plays cards with our Cards and Cafe Action Team every Wednesday. She was inspired by our church’s 175 acts of service and asked if I could team with her for her City Kitties Project. I donated extra supplies , as described in the following report. Please use the report below to edit. St. Louis City Kitties, a not-for-profit organization whose mission was to help elderly, disabled and low-income families that faced challenges providing adequate care for their cats, discontinued their services in 2024. Since then, Debbie Cotner and Sue VanRees have been delivering pet supplies as well as other items that cannot be purchased with S.N.A.P. benefits (food stamps) to 5 families living in South St. Louis City (IE: paper products, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items). The pet food and litter are donated by Purina. Most of the other items are purchased by Debbie and Sue. Donations are always welcomed. On 6/22/26 Debbie and Sue delivered cat litter, dry and canned pet food, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent and personal hygiene products to the families. Diane McKinney donated items to assist in this community service effort.
