  • Client Advocate

    1st & 3rd Mondays of the month 5:45pm-7:00pm

    Adults interested in: social work, helping at risk populations (low income, homeless, etc.), mentoring, spiritual support, community support programs, fundraising

    Join a team of social service advocates in our community outreach program, Christ in Action! We provide spiritual, emotional, and financial support to those in West County who seek our services. We connect them to other programs in the community and provide case management. Duties would include attending a brief meeting 2 evenings a month at Pathfinder Ministry Center and making biweekly phone calls or meetings with clients. Fundraising experience is a plus. We help others to identify their goals and define barriers that inhibit progress towards the life God has planned for them.

  • Special Needs Buddy

    Weekly or every other week Sundays at 9:00am and/or 10:45am

    6th grade through Adults

    Some of our kids with mild to moderate special needs just need a friend to sit with them each week to make sure they get the one-on-one attention they need and allow them to participate in our fun programming. You do not have to have special training to be a Buddy, just patience! Contact Lisa for more information.

  • Middle School (6th-8th grade) CORE Mentor

    Sunday mornings 10:30am-12noon September-May

    16 years of age through Adults

    Lead a small group, 8-10 students, of middle school students through a discussion or activity on the lesson for the day. The students will meet as part of a large group teaching experience followed by small group break outs with their mentors to dig deeper into the topic.

  • Children’s Ministry Technical Volunteer

    Sunday mornings at both the 9:00am & 10:45am services (Approximately 4 hrs. per month) One weekend each month

    Middle School through Adults

    Observe and find out what it takes to help with stage lighting, sound and media during the Sunday morning Kindergarten–3rd grade worship/stage experience. Knowledge or the willingness to learn to use the sound board, light board and media presentation equipment (PowerPoint). Must be approachable and friendly and open to work in a team setting.

  • Children’s Ministry Drama/Worship Leader

    One or two Sunday mornings at both services (Approximately 4 hours per month)

    6th grade through Adults

    Comfortable acting and playing the part of different characters in front of a large group. Willingness to memorize lines and act on stage. Should be comfortable talking with kids, being silly and wearing creative costumes. Must be outgoing and approachable and open to working in a team setting.
