You have learned what it is to be a steadfast friend. You will do anything for the people you love, dutifully standing with your tribe through thick and thin. But that may be because you’re afraid, you feel unsafe, and you worry you won’t have the support you need when you need it most, so you create fiercely loyal groups that can affirm your anxiety and face difficulties together. It’s your devotion to your tribe (church, denomination, group) that is your guarantee of security, which leaves God without much of a job in your life.
