C.S. Lewis says that God whispers to us in our pleasures, but shouts in our pain. When things are going well, do we forget God? Do we only need God when we are suffering? True security only comes when we attribute our blessings rightly to the Lord, and trust in His goodness (rather than the good things he gave us) for our security.
